Description:
As an L4 AWS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for complex AWS-based solutions.
You will lead critical incident response, architect solutions, and drive strategic initiatives related to AWS.
Develop strategies for cloud adoption, migration, and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud operations while aligning AWS solutions with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
Design and oversee the implementation of large-scale, enterprise-level architectures and provide input for technology roadmaps and long-term AWS adoption plans.
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available EKS clusters, managing Kubernetes objects like Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, and ConfigMaps.
Automate the provisioning of EKS clusters and associated AWS resources using Terraform or CloudFormation, and develop and maintain Helm charts for consistent application deployments.
Implement GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD for continuous delivery.
Evaluate and implement emerging AWS technologies such as AI/ML services and serverless architectures, promoting the use of containers and microservices for modern application delivery.
Establish cloud governance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards, and lead audits for compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other industry requirements.
Act as the final escalation point for critical incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and defining preventive measures for recurring issues.
Mentor junior engineers and lead training programs on AWS best practices while representing the Managed Services team in client discussions and stakeholder presentations.
Partner with DevOps, product, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service delivery and act as a liaison between the Managed Services team and AWS account managers.
Requirements:
A deep understanding of AWS core services and advanced features is required.
Strong expertise in AWS automation, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), and CLI is necessary.
Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code tools is essential.
Knowledge of AWS security best practices, identity and access management, and networking is required.
Capacity planning skills to analyze future resource needs and plan accordingly are necessary.
Performance optimization skills to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks are required.
Experience in leading large-scale migration and modernization projects is essential.
Ability to implement cost-saving strategies and optimize resource utilization is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
A customer-focused approach is required.
Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, and AWS Certified Security - Specialty, along with additional advanced certifications as needed.
