Description:

  • As an L4 AWS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for complex AWS-based solutions.
  • You will lead critical incident response, architect solutions, and drive strategic initiatives related to AWS.
  • Develop strategies for cloud adoption, migration, and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud operations while aligning AWS solutions with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of large-scale, enterprise-level architectures and provide input for technology roadmaps and long-term AWS adoption plans.
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available EKS clusters, managing Kubernetes objects like Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, and ConfigMaps.
  • Automate the provisioning of EKS clusters and associated AWS resources using Terraform or CloudFormation, and develop and maintain Helm charts for consistent application deployments.
  • Implement GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD for continuous delivery.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging AWS technologies such as AI/ML services and serverless architectures, promoting the use of containers and microservices for modern application delivery.
  • Establish cloud governance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards, and lead audits for compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and other industry requirements.
  • Act as the final escalation point for critical incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and defining preventive measures for recurring issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead training programs on AWS best practices while representing the Managed Services team in client discussions and stakeholder presentations.
  • Partner with DevOps, product, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service delivery and act as a liaison between the Managed Services team and AWS account managers.

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding of AWS core services and advanced features is required.
  • Strong expertise in AWS automation, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), and CLI is necessary.
  • Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and other infrastructure-as-code tools is essential.
  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices, identity and access management, and networking is required.
  • Capacity planning skills to analyze future resource needs and plan accordingly are necessary.
  • Performance optimization skills to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks are required.
  • Experience in leading large-scale migration and modernization projects is essential.
  • Ability to implement cost-saving strategies and optimize resource utilization is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
  • A customer-focused approach is required.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, and AWS Certified Security - Specialty, along with additional advanced certifications as needed.
