Remote AWS Infrastructure Engineer (Guru)

Description:

• The company is looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and best practices for deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• The role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
• Responsibilities include developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK, as well as designing and deploying network architecture.
• The position requires automation of cloud infrastructure management tasks, optimization for performance and cost efficiency, and ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitoring, support, collaboration with other teams, documentation, and mentorship are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Experience with cloud automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Skills:
  • Deep understanding of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, and Route 53.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Certifications (preferred):
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
