Remote AWS Network Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a skilled AWS Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage network infrastructure in our cloud environment.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services and network architectures, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-based network solutions.
• This role requires a strong understanding of cloud networking, automation, and a commitment to maintaining best practices in security and performance.
• Key responsibilities include designing and deploying AWS network architectures, implementing and managing network security solutions, developing and maintaining network automation scripts, monitoring network performance, and optimizing AWS network infrastructure.
• The engineer will work closely with DevOps, application, and security teams to integrate network solutions with other AWS services, ensuring seamless connectivity and secure communications.
• Responsibilities also include designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies, maintaining detailed documentation of AWS network configurations, and staying up-to-date with the latest AWS networking features.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, are highly desirable.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in cloud network engineering with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proficiency in designing and managing AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and other networking components is essential.
• Experience with VPN technologies, Direct Connect, and AWS Transit Gateway is required.
• Familiarity with network automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and scripting with Python or Bash is necessary.
• Knowledge of DNS services such as Route 53 and content delivery networks like CloudFront is important.
• A solid understanding of network security principles and best practices in a cloud environment is required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
• Candidates should be detail-oriented with a focus on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
