Description:
As an Azure Automation Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage automation solutions leveraging Azure's advanced services to optimize workflows, enhance scalability, and ensure operational excellence.
You will design and implement automation solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code templates (ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform) to automate resource provisioning.
You will configure and manage Azure Resource Manager to deploy and manage Azure resources.
Automating routine tasks, such as VM provisioning, network configuration, and security group creation, will be part of your role.
You will implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Azure deployments.
Monitoring existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce costs will be essential.
You will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and provide technical expertise and hands-on guidance during solution implementation is expected.
Enhancing existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce costs will also be part of your duties.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
You should have 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or system automation roles.
Prior experience in designing and managing automation workflows in Azure environments is required.
A strong understanding of Azure core services, including compute, storage, networking, and security, is necessary.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI is essential.
Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates and Bicep is required.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
A strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles is required.
You must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with strong client-facing skills and the ability to guide clients through challenging problems.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in customer-facing consulting roles interacting with IT leaders, product owners, C-level executives, and business users is required.
You should possess the drive and self-sufficiency to work independently, translate goals into action, and own the success of your area of work while supporting and seeking support from colleagues when needed.
