Remote Azure Cloud Engineer II

Description:

• The Azure Cloud Engineer II at iT1 will be responsible for supporting customers in the Managed Services Division by providing assistance with support, incident management, problem management, and change management for cloud resources.
• This role involves administering, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based systems, including O365 and/or Azure, to ensure availability, security, and adherence to documented policies and procedures.
• The engineer will maintain operational standards for cloud technologies, respond to escalated tickets, assist with incidents related to various cloud components, manage and deploy patches and updates, assist with cloud security needs, document system processes and procedures, and build and maintain servers in the cloud environment.
• The position requires a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, emerging trends, and related technologies, as well as the ability to assist with cloud governance and FinOps tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field; or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as an Azure cloud administrator.
• Demonstrated knowledge of O365 security tools and Azure operations and technologies.
• Knowledge of IT operations and basic methodologies, experience documenting environments, processes, and standards.
• Ability to assess existing architectures, make recommendations, cultivate client relationships, present technical content, execute deliverables with limited support, and hold appropriate certifications in Azure and associated Microsoft technologies.
