Remote Azure Cloud Engineer/Developer (AI & EdTech Applications)

Description:

• Per Scholas is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer/Developer (AI & EdTech Applications) to join their national training team.
• The position is fully remote and part-time, requiring up to 20 hours per week for 6 months.
• The role involves developing and integrating an intelligent AI chatbot application and pioneering EdTech applications like virtual and simulated labs platforms.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with various stakeholders, leading the design and development of the AI chatbot application, and creating immersive lab environments for hands-on learning.
• The candidate will build scalable cloud solutions using Azure services, manage cloud resources, and ensure security standards.
• The role also includes developing custom APIs for integration, tracking application performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing training and support to technical staff.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in Azure and Cloud technologies.
• A current Microsoft Azure certification at least at the Associate level is required.
• Strong technical background with the ability to convey complex technical subjects is essential.
• Experience with Azure AI Services and implementing integration solutions with Microservices, RESTful Web Services, and Web APIs is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience in systems architecture, design, development, and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of Agile engineering practices and hands-on coding/scripting experience in Python or Powershell is required.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data sources, Git/GitHub, and excellent time management skills are also necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
