Remote Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

Description:

• We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• The role involves hands-on management of Azure resources, automation, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational excellence.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure cloud services and a solid understanding of cloud operations best practices.
• Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of Azure cloud infrastructure, developing automation scripts, managing monitoring tools, troubleshooting incidents, ensuring security and compliance, implementing backup and recovery strategies, optimizing costs, collaborating with teams, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3-5+ years of experience managing and operating Microsoft Azure environments.
• In-depth knowledge of core Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking (VNet, NSGs, Load Balancers), and Azure Active Directory is required.
• Expertise in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform for automating cloud operations is essential.
• Experience in managing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to automate provisioning and configuration is necessary.
• A strong understanding of cloud security principles, including Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), security groups, and encryption is required.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance monitoring and alerting is needed.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and implementing disaster recovery strategies is important.
• Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure issues are essential.
• Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher certifications, familiarity with Azure DevOps and containerization tools, understanding of hybrid cloud setups, and experience using Azure Cost Management tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective time management, and a detail-oriented, proactive approach are necessary.
