Description:
The position is for an Azure DevOps Engineer at a big consulting and audit company, offering a remote, full-time opportunity for experienced professionals.
In this role, you will advocate for application teams in Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and Agile engineering procedures, focusing on quality engineering practices and advanced requirement capturing techniques to improve secure delivery practices.
You will design and implement strategies for collaboration, code, infrastructure, source control, security, compliance, continuous integration, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback.
The role involves managing GitHub Enterprise Pipelines with a strong emphasis on custom flows and actions, as well as minor involvement with Azure DevOps projects, including implementing automation tools and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.
You will be responsible for day-to-day collaboration with various application/asset teams to ensure the successful implementation of secure coding practices and support the Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), including functional and non-functional cybersecurity requirements.
Monitoring systems, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing proactive solutions will be part of your responsibilities.
You will work with the application Infrastructure architect to complete security/infrastructure questionnaires and develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
Providing training and support to internal teams, peers, and stakeholders will also be required.
Additionally, you will plan disaster recovery measures and maintain data storage security in Azure.
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 years of combined experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering and Software Engineering is required.
Experience working with Secure CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions and Flows, and ALM tools to automate security requirements validation tasks is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting with .Net/C#, PowerShell, and Bash is essential.
Hands-on experience with containerization, orchestration, and Cloud infrastructure management, including Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, is required.
A background in Kubernetes (AKS) and Linux is mandatory.
Expertise in Azure cloud services is a requirement for this position.
An understanding of network architectures and services, such as VPN, routing, firewall, and NSGs, is necessary.
Knowledge of Source Code Management concepts, including code lines, branching, merging, integration, and versioning, is required.
Proficiency in using Git for version control is a must.
Familiarity with CI/CD Pipeline creation in Azure DevOps is a plus.
The ability to translate traditional SDLC approaches to agile development phases when automating security-related tasks is essential.
Azure certifications are considered a plus.
