Remote Azure DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for system engineering tasks related to Azure infrastructure, build and release automation, application security best practices, and application monitoring.
• They will make strategic infrastructure choices, establish standard operating procedures, and manage Mercury’s cloud infrastructure and clients' production applications.
• Tasks include Microsoft Azure infrastructure solution engineering, managing infrastructure for large-scale web applications using Bicep templates, application metrics monitoring, container management, and participating in software development team operations.
• The engineer will work with a full team following GitFlow with continuous deployment pipelines, administer databases, set up automated test infrastructure, and write PowerShell scripts.
• Proficiency in Agile teams, specifically Scrum with 2-week sprints, is preferred.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment analyzing problems and collaborating on a team.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure.
• 2+ years of experience automating the build and release of enterprise software with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• 2+ years collaborating with application developers to deploy and troubleshoot custom software in production environments.
