Description:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for system engineering tasks related to Azure infrastructure, build and release automation, application security best practices, and application monitoring.
They will make strategic infrastructure choices, establish standard operating procedures, and manage Mercury’s cloud infrastructure and clients' production applications.
Tasks include Microsoft Azure infrastructure solution engineering, managing infrastructure for large-scale web applications using Bicep templates, application metrics monitoring, container management, and participating in software development team operations.
The engineer will work with a full team following GitFlow with continuous deployment pipelines, administer databases, set up automated test infrastructure, and write PowerShell scripts.
Proficiency in Agile teams, specifically Scrum with 2-week sprints, is preferred.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
5+ years of experience in a professional work environment analyzing problems and collaborating on a team.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure.
2+ years of experience automating the build and release of enterprise software with Azure DevOps pipelines.
2+ years collaborating with application developers to deploy and troubleshoot custom software in production environments.
