Remote Azure DevOps Engineer - Contract

Description:

• CloudKubed is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in delivering tools and infrastructure for technical operations.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of automated processes to streamline software delivery, enhance system reliability, and improve operational efficiency.
• The role involves working on existing cloud applications, developing new features, resolving issues and bugs, and ensuring agile delivery.
• Day-to-day activities include setting up Azure accounts and subscriptions, designing Landing Zones, deploying fixes and features using GitHub and GitHub Actions, managing Linux and Windows servers, updating Azure Virtual Machine images, implementing changes in Azure networking and storage services, working with containers and other Azure services, setting up GitHub CI/CD pipelines, using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring system availability and performance, implementing Well Architected solutions, collaborating with development teams, and simplifying infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Experience in Trusted Research Environments (TREs) and a strong understanding of Azure.
• At least one Azure certification, preferably Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104).
• Proficiency in implementing Azure CAF, Azure accounts, subscriptions, and Landing Zones.
• Experience with Terraform for IaC, Python, GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, GitOps best practices, Linux server distribution management, Windows Server knowledge, scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, containerization technologies like Docker, and Agile development principles.
• Ability to implement security best practices and ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability.
