Remote Azure Sr. Data Engineer

Description:

• The Sr. Azure Data Engineer will lead the creation of high-value data-driven solutions leveraging Cyclotron’s proven implementation methodology and solutions for enterprise projects.
• This role includes contributing to technical pre-sales activities as required.
• Responsibilities include designing solution architecture, defining requirements, and leading the project delivery team.
• The position offers the opportunity to work with and learn the latest cloud solutions in an exciting work environment.
• Collaboration across all Cyclotron’s sales, service delivery, and project management organizations is essential to serve Cyclotron’s clients.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Intelligent Data Stack, and Databricks.
• Proficiency with the Databricks platform and implementing enterprise Data Lakehouse is required.
• Candidates will contribute to all stages of the data lifecycle, including data ingestion, data modeling, data profiling, data quality, data transformation, data movement, and data curation.
• Familiarity with market challenges in multiple industry verticals and experience with both traditional and modern Microsoft technology stacks is expected.
• Strong collaboration skills, the ability to embrace change, and the capability to work well with ambiguity are essential.
• The candidate should be able to engage directly with client stakeholders, managers, and end users, interfacing with clients from the C-suite to line workers.
• The role requires the ability to design and implement Advanced Analytics solutions based on customer needs and knowledge of Microsoft Cloud and related Open-Source technologies.
• Candidates should be able to triage, self-direct, prioritize, and manage time effectively while collaborating with other team members.

Requirements:

• A focus on Azure data engineering solutions is required.
• Candidates must have 8+ years of data engineering delivery experience.
• A minimum of 3+ years of Databricks engineering development experience is necessary.
• Microsoft Fabric development experience is required.
• Candidates should have at least 2+ years of technical team leadership or technical management experience.
• A minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Purview experience is required.
• Current Azure and/or Databricks certifications are mandatory.
• Candidates must have experience in designing large-scale modern data platform solutions and interpreting business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks, Fabric, and Azure Data tools is essential.
• Knowledge of data modeling principles for relational and dimensional data structures, data warehouse design principles, and data lake design principles is required.
• Strong knowledge of data lakehouse and medallion architecture concepts, as well as T-SQL relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics, is necessary.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, DAX, M, and Spark is required.
• Experience with reporting and data visualization tools, specifically PowerBI, is necessary.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, and Microsoft Fabric is required.
• Experience in Synapse Analytics and CI/CD is essential.
