Description:

  • Capco is a global technology and business consultancy focused on the financial services and energy sectors.
  • The company has 33 offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
  • They are seeking a highly qualified Senior Back End Engineer to join their team.
  • The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable back-end systems using Node.js, Java, and frameworks like Spring Boot and Camel.
  • The position requires daily interaction in English and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions.
  • Responsibilities include implementing and managing APIs with a focus on security, scalability, and performance using Apigee, creating and optimizing cloud-native applications using AWS services, and integrating back-end services with other systems using Apache Camel.
  • The engineer will also ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and unit testing, monitor and troubleshoot back-end performance issues, and actively participate in agile ceremonies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Back End Engineer with expertise in Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in API management and deployment using Apigee.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex back-end systems and optimize performance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for daily collaboration with global teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • It is a plus to have experience with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
