Description:

Gluo is a leading eCommerce agency with over 20 years in the market, specializing in Headless and Composable Commerce.
The company is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to retail data platform engineering and composable offerings.
The role involves providing technical support for Order Management System (OMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities include collaborating with software engineering teams to develop and maintain APIs and middleware, tracking and documenting support requests, analyzing incident trends, validating changes, and providing feedback on system improvements.
The position requires working as part of a cross-functional team and reporting to the Software Development Manager.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with retail commerce data infrastructure, preferably in composable commerce.
Hands-on experience with global cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required, with a preference for AWS.
Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) is necessary.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and developing microservices-based applications is essential.
A deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles is required.
Strong experience with scripting languages, preferably Python, is needed.
Experience with event-driven systems, including queuing and AWS Lambda, is preferred.
Experience working with retail data platforms (i.e., POS or OMS) and real-time data management using event streams is a plus.
Familiarity with headless/microservices architectures and digital commerce technologies such as NewStore, Adyen, Avalarra, commerce tools, and Elastic Path Commerce Cloud is an asset.
