Description:

The Back End Developer (Ruby) position at Sensor Tower involves efficiently scaling database operations and supporting the growing amount of data, which can reach tens of terabytes.
Engineers in this role are expected to gather meaningful data and insights to ensure the best possible products and features are built to support users.
Responsibilities include participating in the full development life cycle, from design to implementation, quality polish, and release.
The role also involves working on full feature implementation from the front end to the API and back end, as well as developing and optimizing high-performance data aggregation and analysis pipelines at scale.
Code reviews, suggesting improvements to tools and processes, and collaborating with the team are essential aspects of this position.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Demonstrated meaningful GitHub contributions and other coding samples.
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design.
Solid understanding of RESTful systems and principles of good API design.
Knowledge of cloud environments, with exposure to AWS being an advantage.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (or Python with a willingness to learn Ruby on Rails).
Nice to have skills include familiarity with Clickhouse, MongoDB, Sidekiq, TypeScript, React.js, and ES6.
