Description:

The Back End Developer (Ruby) position at Sensor Tower in Portugal involves efficiently scaling database operations and supporting the growing amount of data, which can reach tens of terabytes.
Engineers in this role are expected to gather meaningful data and insights to ensure the best possible products and features are built to support users.
Responsibilities include participating in the full development life cycle, from design to implementation, quality polish, and release.
The role also involves working on full feature implementation from the front end to the API and back end, as well as developing and optimizing high-performance data aggregation and analysis pipelines at scale.
Code reviews, suggesting improvements to tools and processes, and collaborating with the team are essential aspects of the job.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a software engineer.
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design is required.
Meaningful GitHub contributions and other coding samples are expected.
Solid understanding of RESTful systems and good API design principles is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS, is preferred.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails is a must, or the willingness to learn Ruby on Rails if experienced in Python.
Nice to have skills include Clickhouse, MongoDB, Sidekiq, TypeScript, React.js, and ES6.
