Description:

  • The position is for a Back-End Developer based in Cape Town, South Africa, and is a full-time role.
  • The primary responsibilities include developing web applications, web pages, website modules, and landing pages, with a focus on creating integrations between the HubSpot platform and various SaaS platforms.
  • The role emphasizes the reuse of code and maintaining an internal program for reusable HubSpot modules.
  • Direct client interaction is not a primary responsibility, but participation in client meetings as a technical expert may be required.
  • Key tasks include maintaining web applications, implementing new features, resolving bugs, reviewing API documentation, documenting bug resolutions, developing and maintaining back-end coding standards, and improving processes and practices.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of Back-End Development experience.
  • Proficiency in PHP7 and PHP5 is required, with strong knowledge of advanced capabilities and efficient coding.
  • Experience with Symfony (versions 5-7) or similar frameworks is necessary.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of expertise in HTML5, focusing on semantic and efficient code, is required.
  • Candidates should have 2-4 years of JavaScript skills for advanced web functionality.
  • 1-2 years of Node.js experience in developing scalable back-end services is needed.
  • Familiarity with React for supporting front-end tasks is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of experience with iPaaS solutions for cloud and on-premise integrations is required.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CMS is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Excellent communication abilities with clients, team members, and senior management are necessary.
  • Candidates should be proactive in improving web technology knowledge and sharing it with the team.
