Remote Back End Engineer

Description:

• Minware is a self-funded seed-stage company that provides development observability software to improve visibility in the software development process.
• The role of Back End Engineer involves working directly with the founders to build the product from the ground up.
• The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• The position requires close collaboration with product managers and customers to define the capabilities of minware.
• The engineer will also design and architect new system components and manage a backlog of technical debt reduction and internal efficiency improvements.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience building and maintaining a complex back end application.
• Familiarity with principles of high-quality code, including continuous integration, declarative and functional programming, is required.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for interfacing with non-technical stakeholders and occasionally with customers.
• Applicants should be well-versed in agile or lean planning and project management processes.
• Experience with the core stack (Postgres, Next.js, Apollo GraphQL) or similar technologies is preferred.
• Proficiency with infrastructure tools such as AWS and Terraform is optional but considered a plus.
