Cogility Software is seeking an experienced Back End Engineer to make a significant impact in both the office and the wider world.
The role involves architecting interfaces for customer use, with a focus on solving complex problems.
Responsibilities include designing and building capabilities that enable users to visualize and interact with data for analytical purposes.
The engineer will engage in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle, including idea generation, user interviews, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver high-quality solutions.
The engineer will contribute to the planning and execution of backend development tasks.
Implementation and maintenance of backend functionalities to support user-facing features is required.
The role includes collaboration with Front End Engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
Participation in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards is expected.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4+ years of work experience in a similar position or product development is required.
A Bachelor’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
The candidate must have the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools is essential.
Experience working with Phoenix & Elixir on the backend is preferred, but proficiency in Ruby, Clojure, or GO will also be considered.
Experience in Redis, Postgres, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Elasticsearch is sought after, with real-time data processing experience being a bonus.
Proficient experience using server APIs such as GraphQL and REST is required.
A good understanding of the software development process, including development and deployment, is necessary.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection measures is essential.
Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance is required.

The salary range for this position is $110K - $170K.
