Description:
Deel is seeking a Back-end Engineer to join their fintech team, which operates globally and is dedicated to helping businesses hire talent from anywhere.
The role involves solving unique and challenging business problems by leveraging technology to enhance their fintech platform.
The engineer will collaborate in a cross-functional team, working closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless user experiences.
Participation in product planning is expected, contributing to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
Responsibilities include developing and enhancing features, APIs, and continuously improving industry-leading products while addressing bugs efficiently.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong proficiency in Typescript and NodeJS, or in strongly typed, OOP languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Golang.
Experience with relational databases is required, including resolving concurrency-related challenges and query optimization.
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns is necessary, with experience in building and extending classes.
Candidates should have experience in designing systems for scalability to manage rapid growth and increasing demands.
Proven expertise in optimizing systems for high transaction volumes, handling concurrency, idempotency, and performance under load is essential.
Skills in building APIs, including input validation and ensuring security and scalability through queue-based systems, are required.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is necessary.
