Description:
Truelogic is a leading provider of nearshore staff augmentation services, located in New York, with a team of 500 tech talents driving digital disruption from Latin America to U.S. companies.
The position is for a Back-end Engineer (Java) in the Advertising sector, which is remote and available to candidates anywhere in LATAM.
The role involves working in a forward-thinking and growth-oriented environment at an Advertising Company.
The engineer will significantly contribute to software development for the core customer journey, including areas such as Search, Search Results, Homepage, Ads, Widgets, and Recommendations.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Java-based applications leveraging AWS services (ECS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB) to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences and influence technology choices.
The role also involves coaching and guiding team members to maintain high coding standards and practices, contributing to the growth of the engineering team.
The engineer will solve complex issues within a well-understood technology strategy, balancing business needs with technical solutions for scalability and future growth.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least four (4) years of professional software development experience with Java and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the full software development lifecycle is required, covering coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Hands-on experience with AWS technologies and familiarity with Java 8+, particularly with the Spring Framework, is essential.
Strong analytical skills are necessary, along with the ability to address ambiguity and make informed decisions based on customer and business insights.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are required, enabling engagement with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
