Remote Back-End Engineer (Node.js + AWS) - Mid/Senior/Tech Lead

Description:

• Deel is seeking Back-End Engineering professionals for Mid-level, Senior-level, and Tech Lead roles in India.
• The role involves collaborating in a cross-functional team with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless experiences.
• Candidates will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, contributing throughout all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• The position requires developing and enhancing features, APIs, and continuously improving industry-leading products while ensuring quality engineering and customer-focused development.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, along with experience in at least one other server-side language.
• A solid understanding of SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, is required, including query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
• Applicants should have a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
• Experience in designing systems for scalability and optimizing systems for large transaction volumes is essential.
• Candidates must be skilled in building APIs, including input validation, JWT tokens, and ensuring security and scalability through queue-based systems.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.
