Description:
Deel is seeking a Back-End Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates from various countries in the EMEA region, including Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Poland, Ukraine, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Romania.
The engineer will collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless experiences.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning, developing and enhancing features, and providing exceptional customer-centric experiences through quality engineering.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in backend development, database mastery, a solid grasp of OOP and design patterns, and a focus on scalability and high-volume performance.
The position requires at least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, along with experience in at least one other server-side language.
A deep understanding of SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, is essential for handling query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
Applicants should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
Experience in designing systems for scalability and optimizing systems for large transaction volumes is required.
Candidates must be skilled in building APIs, including input validation and ensuring security and scalability through queue-based systems.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer is mandatory.
