Remote Back-end Software Engineer

Description:

• Athennian is seeking a Back-end Software Engineer to join their Data Migration Team in a remote capacity.
• The role involves developing and maintaining migration scripts to ensure smooth data transitions from legacy systems to new platforms.
• Responsibilities include onboarding customers and migrating their data to the Athennian platform, working closely with client data using SQL, and maintaining current data migration tools.
• The engineer will prepare detailed reports on data anomalies, assist the Onboarding Team with data migration tasks, and manually verify data migration testing rounds.
• Validation of migrated data will be done using MongoDB, along with data manipulation, transformation, database management, and problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a professional software engineer working on web applications.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQLite is required.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, is necessary.
• Proficiency in using Linux-based CLI is expected.
• Knowledge of backend technologies like NodeJS and Express is essential.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication and collaboration abilities are required.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are necessary.
• Candidates should be able to work independently in an autonomous environment and thrive in a team setting.
