Description:

  • Worldly is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer to join their Data Architecture Team in a remote capacity, preferably from South or Central America (Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico).
  • The role involves the development and maintenance of Worldly's impact intelligence platform, focusing on software development for data collection, transformation, and analysis.
  • Responsibilities include coding, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality of the platform.
  • The engineer will develop software solutions for data collection, transformation, and analysis, while ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • The position requires developing APIs for seamless data integration and exports, and collaborating closely with the product management team to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participation in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of coding standards and development processes is also expected.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Proven expertise in designing and working with relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and CouchDB, is necessary.
  • Strong data-related skills, including data analysis, manipulation, and visualization, with experience in handling large datasets, are essential.
  • Experience working closely with product management teams to translate requirements into technical solutions is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
