Description:
The position is for a Back-end Software Engineer focused on the Core Engine at Make, located in Prague, Czech Republic.
The role involves being part of a cross-functional product team that works on the engine executing thousands of automations per second.
Responsibilities include designing and developing innovative solutions, building new product features, and improving existing back-end systems for better maintainability, performance, reliability, and resiliency.
The engineer will write and maintain tests, ship code to production, automate repetitive work, and write and review RFCs and technical documentation.
The role also includes reviewing and providing feedback on the work of others and investing time in personal learning and growth.
Participation in cross-cutting initiatives to influence engineering practices and tooling evolution at Make is encouraged.

Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in building and maintaining back-end services and understand the demands of running a service in production.
A fascination with distributed systems and a desire to grow in that area is essential.
Knowledge of common software and microservice design patterns is required, with practical application in previous work.
The ability to produce readable, well-documented, and tested code is necessary.
Candidates should be able to engage in informed technical discussions.
Proven experience in developing cloud services is required.
Hands-on experience with TypeScript on the back-end is a significant advantage.
Experience with Docker, software containerization, and microservices architectures is highly welcomed.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and other technologies from the tech stack is beneficial.
A strong command of English, both verbal and written, is essential due to the international team environment.
