Symplicity is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer - PHP to enhance their software solutions.
The position is remote and based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
The role involves developing and maintaining software features using PHP technologies.
The engineer will learn and apply Python for integrations and automation workflows.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting software issues, collaborating on testing and debugging, and improving system integrations.
The engineer will follow software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
Collaboration with UX designers, QA, and product teams is essential to deliver high-quality solutions.
The role requires writing clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code and managing data effectively with databases.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience with PHP development.
A strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns is required.
Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and supporting complex systems is necessary.
Proficiency with Unix/Linux command-line tools is expected.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is required.
Advanced English skills are essential for effective communication with international teams.
Nice to have: experience with Python, familiarity with integration tools, knowledge of AWS, experience with test planning and quality assurance, a degree in Computer Science or related field, and JavaScript skills.
