Remote Backend Developer

Description:

• Collaborate closely with senior engineers to design and implement robust backend systems from the ground up.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Optimize database design and queries for efficiency and scalability.
• Implement and maintain security best practices to protect sensitive user data.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Attend weekly syncs with the founding team to assess project priorities and align on product roadmap.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Take ownership of projects and lead technical initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer building consumer-facing applications is required.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and experience with GraphQL is necessary.
• A solid understanding of database technologies, particularly MySQL, is essential.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git, is required.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is needed.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required.
• Experience working in an agile software development environment is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team are required.
