Remote Backend Developer at Definity First

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with experience in building and integrating REST APIs with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Data Lake, or similar systems.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in backend development using .NET or Java and will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data access and integration across our systems.
This is a remote position open to candidates from any part of LATAM.
Main activities include developing and maintaining robust backend services and RESTful APIs, integrating backend systems with Snowflake, Data Lakes, or similar cloud data platforms, designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions for data management, collaborating with front-end developers, DevOps teams, and data engineers, and writing efficient, maintainable, and testable code in .NET or Java.

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in .NET or Java is required.
Experience working with REST APIs and integrating with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Data Lakes) is necessary.
A solid understanding of cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.
The ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are necessary.
Candidates must have an advanced level of English.
A graduate from an accredited software engineering Bootcamp or a four-year university with a Computer Science/Information Technology Bachelor's Degree is required.
