Easy Dynamics is seeking a Backend Developer to join their remote team in a full-time, mid-level position.
The company focuses on zero trust architecture, cloud delivery, and security automation, providing innovative solutions in the IT landscape.
The role involves providing software development, continuous integration, software delivery, systems administration, software quality, and systems documentation support for the agency’s digital assets, including the public-facing website and internal software tools.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the Application Development Team to strategize and plan web products, creating web applications and services using programming languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, Django, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
The developer will assist in managing and developing the agency’s website, modernizing its architecture and visuals, and building a strong technical foundation using continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
Engagement with agency personnel to understand requirements and develop better software solutions is essential.
The role also includes providing training on systems development methodologies and assisting in the development of various documentation and manuals.

Requirements:

U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is necessary.
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of demonstrated experience in developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web-based application systems.
Experience in troubleshooting system problems and improving applications is required.
Expertise in web development concepts, practices, and procedures, including Python, Django, cloud services (such as AWS), container technology (such as Docker), and build automation deployment is essential.
Demonstrated experience working on open-source projects and delivering public-facing solutions is necessary.
Experience in developing and maintaining Django web applications in a federal AWS environment is required.
Candidates should have experience with PostgreSQL in a production cloud environment and familiarity with Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch.
Experience in creating unit tests and integration tests, working with GitHub for source code management, and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is also required.

The salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $130,000.
