Remote Backend Developer (Bay Area)

Description:

• We are seeking experienced backend developers to contribute to and evolve our product.
• The technology is new and rapidly evolving, providing an opportunity for significant impact on product architecture.
• You will design and optimize a large-scale, highly scalable, and fault-tolerant system that processes large graph datasets in real-time.
• The product handles billions of events from tens of thousands of endpoints with subsecond latency requirements.
• You will tackle real-world scaling problems that necessitate thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• The role involves working with a modern microservices-based software stack, including Go, Kubernetes, Docker, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Etcd.
• You will write secure-by-design software that can withstand real-world attacks while processing untrusted data.
• You will architect and implement Cyberhaven SaaS sensors for commonly used enterprise SaaS applications such as Box, Office365, Workday, and Dropbox.

Requirements:

• A strong track record in building backends that are actively used at scale is required.
• Experience in developing large applications in Go is necessary.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch or a similar distributed NoSQL database at a very large scale is essential.
• Experience in profiling and optimizing code that interacts with large distributed databases and streaming platforms is required.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes is necessary.
• Experience in designing and implementing application architecture is required.
• Familiarity with agile development and SCRUM methodologies is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, with the ability to communicate frequently with distributed engineering teams in European and Eastern US time zones.
