Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Backend Developer to join our fast-paced and innovative digital marketing agency.
As a key member of our dev team, you will work closely with our developer team to design, develop, and maintain backend systems that power the sites and applications of our clients.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of Technology and Backend Lead to address technical challenges across diverse projects, spanning analysis, timeline management, execution, and deployment of various technologies.
Your responsibilities will include implementing efficient data storage solutions and optimizing database performance.
You will write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
Participation in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards is expected.
You will troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation of backend systems.
Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and proposing innovative solutions to improve system architecture and performance will be part of your role.
You will collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services.
Contributing to the design and architecture of new features and enhancements is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
You should have at least one year of experience in backend development or a similar role and/or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in diverse programming languages, including PHP and JavaScript, along with prominent JavaScript frameworks like React.js, Vue, and Astro is required.
A strong understanding of backend development concepts, including RESTful APIs, database design, and server-side programming is essential.
Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is necessary.
A basic understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is expected.
You should possess solid problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
A strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code is essential.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly learn new technologies and tools is necessary.
