Remote Backend Developer

Description:

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Nest.js.
• Write and maintain clean, testable, and efficient code in TypeScript.
• Design, implement, and manage RESTful APIs.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture.
• Conduct unit testing using Jest to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand project requirements.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassandra) to design and optimize data structures.
• Implement caching strategies and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to infrastructure scaling and performance tuning.
• Utilize Azure Cloud services, and Terraform for infrastructure as code (preferred).
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Node.js and backend development using Nest.js.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, especially Jest.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to gather and understand requirements.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization techniques.
