Description:

Oowlish, a rapidly expanding software development company in Latin America, is seeking experienced technology professionals to join their team.
As a Backend Developer, you will help build scalable, modern serverless applications using GraphQL and the AWS Serverless stack.
You will work on mission-critical projects that impact public-facing platforms, focusing on clean architecture, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing GraphQL APIs, developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS services, ensuring scalability and reliability of backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing CI/CD workflows, and proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and security concerns.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in backend development.
Proven experience in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs is required.
Strong knowledge of AWS services such as AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and Step Functions is essential.
Hands-on experience with serverless application development and deployment is necessary.
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure-as-code tools is a must.
Nice to have: Exposure to frontend technologies like React and Next.js, experience with caching strategies, CDN (CloudFront), and S3 static asset hosting, as well as knowledge of observability tools and monitoring for serverless applications.
