Description:

  • The Backend Developer role focuses on working with IBM AS400, Cobol, and RPG in large-scale environments.
  • Candidates must have solid knowledge of IBM AS400 and Cobol, as well as experience in system development and maintenance.
  • The position requires experience with DB2 databases, MQ Queues, and Control-M.
  • The role involves creating and maintaining ETL programs for large datasets and integrating applications with point-of-sale systems and hardware/software management.
  • A strong understanding of data formats such as CSV and XML, along with relational database design and coding skills, is essential.
  • Experience with mainframe programming languages like CLP and RPG is a plus, but practical knowledge of Cobol is mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have practical experience as a Systems Analyst in large-scale environments using IBM AS400, Cobol, and RPG.
  • Solid knowledge of IBM AS400 and Cobol, as well as system development and maintenance processes, is required.
  • Experience with DB2 databases and handling MQ Queues and Control-M is necessary.
  • Candidates should have expertise in creating and maintaining ETL programs for large datasets.
  • Experience in integrating applications with point-of-sale systems and managing hardware/software is mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of various data formats such as CSV and XML, along with skills in relational database design and coding, is required.
  • Experience with mainframe-specific programming languages like CLP and RPG is desirable, but practical knowledge of Cobol is essential.
  • Desired knowledge includes proficiency in SQL, experience in consultative environments, and familiarity with agile methodologies and process documentation.
  • Relevant certifications in IBM technologies or continuous professional development programs are preferred.
  • Experience in mainframe and financial transaction processing, as well as project management and technical team leadership, is a plus.
