Description:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Backend Developer to join our growing team.
  • The primary focus will be on working with NestJS (with a minimum of 2 years of experience) and TypeScript.
  • You will also work with an array of AWS services to build reliable, scalable applications.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.
  • You will build and integrate both RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Collaboration with the development team to design, build, and deploy new features and improvements is essential.
  • Writing and executing tests using Jest to ensure high-quality, reliable code is required.
  • You will integrate and manage AWS services such as RDS with PostgreSQL, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, SES, and SQS.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging production issues while providing efficient and effective solutions is part of the role.
  • Following best practices for performance, security, and scalability is expected.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with NestJS (TypeScript) is required.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js is necessary.
  • Excellent PostgreSQL skills, including database design and query optimization, are essential.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest is required.
  • A basic understanding of AWS services, particularly RDS (PostgreSQL), Elastic Beanstalk, S3, SES, and SQS, is needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-first attitude are important.
  • The candidate should be organized, hardworking, and enthusiastic about continuous learning.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience with Git (version control) and Agile development practices is preferred.
  • An understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design and best practices is beneficial.
  • The ability to problem-solve under pressure and deliver to deadlines is important.
