Description:

  • The Backend Developer with Node.js will be responsible for developing performant, resilient, and secure services/functions.
  • They will work on building and handling asynchronous and event-driven workflows.
  • Creating testable code and prioritizing testing will be a key aspect of the role.
  • The developer should be passionate, self-driven, and able to work with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose.
  • They will need to care about all the steps their code goes through from their machine to production.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience in software engineering is required.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript on the backend, with frameworks like Node.js, NestJS, NextJS, Heroku, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda is necessary.
  • Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL data stores is essential.
  • Familiarity with deploy tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis is needed.
  • Knowledge of protocols and architectural patterns like HTTP, REST, and/or GraphQL is a must.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures is required.
  • Experience with code versioning tools like Git in a continuous delivery process is necessary.
  • Proficiency in using code quality tools like linters, type checkers, and static analyzers is essential.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a requirement.
  • Comfortable with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is necessary.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
