Description:
The Backend Developer with Node.js will be responsible for developing performant, resilient, and secure services/functions.
They will work on building and handling asynchronous and event-driven workflows.
Creating testable code and prioritizing testing will be a key aspect of the role.
The developer should be passionate, self-driven, and able to work with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose.
They will need to care about all the steps their code goes through from their machine to production.
Requirements:
5+ years of work experience in software engineering is required.
Experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript on the backend, with frameworks like Node.js, NestJS, NextJS, Heroku, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda is necessary.
Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL data stores is essential.
Familiarity with deploy tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis is needed.
Knowledge of protocols and architectural patterns like HTTP, REST, and/or GraphQL is a must.
Understanding of service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and data structures is required.
Experience with code versioning tools like Git in a continuous delivery process is necessary.
Proficiency in using code quality tools like linters, type checkers, and static analyzers is essential.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a requirement.
Comfortable with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is necessary.
Fluency in English is a must.
