Remote Backend Developer (Python)

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced developer to join our team for a project on geospatial data management and visualization.
• The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python for geospatial data processing, PostGIS for spatial database management, and GeoPandas for data manipulation and analysis.
• Responsibilities include developing and optimizing geospatial data processing pipelines, managing and querying spatial databases using PostGIS, performing geospatial data analysis and manipulation with GeoPandas, integrating geospatial data into applications and services via APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance geospatial data visualization and management solutions, ensuring high performance and scalability of geospatial data workflows, and documenting processes while providing technical support for geospatial data solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python for geospatial data processing is required.
• Experience with PostGIS for spatial database management and querying is necessary.
• Expertise in GeoPandas for geospatial data manipulation and analysis is essential.
• A solid understanding of geospatial concepts such as coordinate reference systems and spatial indexing is important.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and data integration for geospatial applications is required.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher is necessary for effective communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
