The company, 1Password, is seeking a Backend Developer with a focus on Rust programming language to join the Item Management team.
The role involves enabling users to efficiently create, organize, and securely grant access to information within 1Password.
The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of professional software development experience, proficiency in Rust, experience in product engineering, and working with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for solving moderately complex problems, prioritize shipping early, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth releases.
Responsibilities include defining and executing development plans, writing code, collaborating with teams, supporting peers through pair programming and code reviews, participating in planning, and ensuring high-quality work.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in software development.
Proficiency with the Rust programming language.
Experience in product engineering and working with cross-functional teams.

Annual base salary for USA-based roles: $121,000 USD to $163,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program, generous paid time off, equity grant, and incentive programs.
Annual base salary for Canada-based roles: $109,000 CAD to $147,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program, generous paid time off, equity grant, and incentive programs.
