Flagship is developing innovative Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) software for DTC retail brands to enhance growth efficiency.

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Inventory SaaS application for retail brands generating $20-200mm in revenue.
You will implement and maintain robust data pipelines, observe and debug data, enhance ETL pipelines, and ensure data integrity through automated tests.
Collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders is essential to define and improve data pipelines.
You will need to stay updated with the latest technologies and advocate for data quality and engineering efficiency.

Requirements:

You must have 4+ years of Python experience in a professional setting.
Experience with orchestration tools and data pipeline management is required.
You should have demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, innovation-centric environment.
Strong knowledge of SQL, preferably Postgres, is necessary.
Understanding of various database technologies and their effective use is important.
You should be comfortable working in cloud/containerized environments.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to foster effective team dynamics are essential.
Enjoyment in researching, problem-solving, and providing clarity in ambiguous situations is expected.
Nice to have: Experience with Go, Typescript, Snowflake, Cron, database migration tools (especially Alembic), and setting up project infrastructure using Terraform.
Familiarity with AWS services (or equivalents) such as S3, Lambdas, EC2, and API Gateways is a plus.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERPs) and/or Shopify, as well as inventory management, is also beneficial.
