Flagship is developing innovative Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) software for DTC retail brands to enhance growth efficiency.

As a Backend Engineer, you will be crucial in developing, maintaining, and improving the Inventory SaaS application for retail brands generating $20-200mm in revenue.
The role requires creative problem-solving to unify multiple data streams, track data changes, and normalize disparate data.
You will work in a fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.
Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining data pipelines, debugging data, enhancing ETL pipelines, parsing large documents, validating data integrity, collaborating with customers, and advocating for data quality.

Requirements:

You must have 4+ years of professional experience in Python.
Experience with orchestration tools and data pipeline management is required.
You should have demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, innovation-centric environment.
Strong knowledge of SQL, preferably Postgres, is necessary.
An understanding of various database technologies and their effective use is required.
You should be comfortable working in cloud/containerized environments with on-demand utilization.
Strong collaboration skills to foster team dynamics and effective cross-functional relationships are essential.
You should enjoy researching, problem-solving, and providing clarity in ambiguous situations.
Nice to have: Experience with Go, Typescript, Snowflake, Cron, database migration tools (especially Alembic), and setting up project infrastructure using Terraform.
Familiarity with AWS services (or equivalents) such as S3, Lambdas, EC2, and API Gateways is a plus.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERPs) and/or Shopify, as well as inventory management or related fields, is also beneficial.
