Description:

  • Localyze is a company focused on redefining global mobility and breaking down barriers to talent and opportunity.

  • The Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reusable backend components for the company's SaaS B2B product.
  • The role involves collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers to enhance application maintainability and security.
  • The technology stack includes React, TypeScript, Webpack, NextJS, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and Redis, with a focus on REST APIs.
  • The engineer will also engage with other departments to incorporate feedback into the product development process.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of coding experience, including at least 3 years of Ruby on Rails experience.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, and React Query is required.
  • SQL knowledge is considered a plus.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and documenting REST APIs and automated testing, particularly unit tests, is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience in developing and maintaining design systems to ensure consistency across products.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with fluency in English to succeed in a remote work environment.
