Remote Backend Engineer

Description:

• Cypris is seeking a Backend Engineer to optimize their microservices architecture, design efficient data stores, and deploy applications on their GCP stack.
• The role involves writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering principles and best practices.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing efficient data stores, ensuring scalability within a microservices architecture, and troubleshooting complex technical issues in production environments.
• The Backend Engineer will deploy and manage applications on the GCP stack, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of software development experience, with a focus on backend engineering.
• Previous experience in a small/startup environment, handling priorities, working in a fast-paced setting, and demonstrating self-starting abilities with end-to-end ownership.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices like test-driven development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
