Description:

Smeetz is seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join their remote team based in Algeria.
The role involves developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure using PHP, specifically with Symfony framework.
The engineer will work on projects to enhance efficiency and scalability, ensuring seamless integration with various technologies.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping production code in PHP, with consideration for experience in other backend programming languages like GO or JAVA.
Familiarity with PHP Symfony framework, or Laravel experience will be considered.
Production experience with message queues such as AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Proficiency in Docker or similar container platforms.
Experience with Restful or RPC-based APIs, writing behavior-based test suites using PHPUnit, and continuous deployment.
Fluent in English and fundamental knowledge of PHP limitations gained through production experience.
Additional preferred skills include experience with AWS, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities.
