Description:

  • Elevar, recently acquired by Buxton, is a leading SaaS company that empowers online merchants to build a robust data foundation.
  • The company simplifies server-side event tracking, providing merchants with actionable insights to fuel smarter decisions, accelerate growth, and achieve their goals.
  • The role is for a Backend Engineer to join a dynamic team of 5 engineers and enhance the product.
  • The application utilizes technologies such as Typescript, React, Node, and Python.
  • The app consists of a user-facing React app with a Python backend and a data pipeline made up of serverless functions that handle thousands of hits per second.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with a fully remote team, contributing to the product roadmap, pushing code changes, and participating in review, testing, and deployments.
  • The workload is divided into monthly releases, which include maintenance cycles for app improvements and refactors.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience with Node and Python.
  • Experience with a strongly typed language is required, with TypeScript being a plus.
  • Ability to work in a Unix environment is necessary.
  • Understanding of serverless technologies is required.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and willing to learn.
  • Open and transparent communication skills are essential.
  • Candidates must be a US resource with the ability to work preferably in/around the EST time zone.
  • US work authorization (green card required) is mandatory.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with high-throughput systems and/or data pipelines and experience with data engineering.
