Description:
We are seeking a proficient Backend Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about Big Data solutions and will work on everything that powers our platform.
This role involves crunching data and applying creativity and intelligence to extract maximum value from it.
You will create tools and processes to support data extraction wherever necessary.

Our tech stack includes AWS services such as Kinesis, Glue, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, ECS, ECR, QuickSight, Redis, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
Backend services are based on Laminas Mezzio and Next.js, utilizing PHP8, Python, and TypeScript.
We employ AWS Terraform for AutoScaled infrastructure and prioritize unit and integration testing.
Our development process includes a properly defined Git branching model, merge requests, and CI/CD on GitLab, with project management via Jira.
Docker is used for the local development environment.
Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of PHP is essential for this position.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database engines such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is required.
Experience with Doctrine ORM or other PHP-based ORMs is necessary.
Familiarity with Symfony, Laravel, Zend Framework, or an Express.js-based Node.js solution is essential.
Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills are required.
The ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented culture is essential.
A passion for improvement and a positive, team-oriented attitude are necessary.
The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver to tight deadlines is required.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving is essential.
Superb organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Python and TypeScript.
Experience with at least one MapReduce data processing framework such as Spark (PySpark) or Hive is preferred.
Experience with Hadoop-based projects and Terraform is desirable.
Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue is a plus.
Experience with a data warehousing solution such as Snowflake or Firebolt and with ElasticSearch is also desirable.
