Description:

• Reddit is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Ads Data Platform team to build and maintain data infrastructure tools for the Monetization Org.
• The role involves generating, ingesting, and accessing petabytes of raw data with a focus on performance and optimization.
• Responsibilities include writing scalable and fault-tolerant code while collaborating with a team of engineers.

• Responsibilities also include owning data pipelines that handle 65B+ daily events, designing tooling for access management, and ensuring data quality for crucial systems.
• The team uses technologies such as Scala, Go, Python, Java, Spark, Thrift, Kafka, and various datastores.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of full-time backend software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment.
• Experience in backend development and a passion for learning new technologies is essential.
• Candidates should have experience building and managing core infrastructure for large engineering organizations.
