Description:

  • Reddit is seeking a talented backend software engineer to join the Ads Signals team, focusing on growing off-platform conversion signals while prioritizing user privacy.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data ingestion through Conversions API, building a scalable platform for signals ingestion, collaborating with cross-functional partners, taking ownership of projects, and staying updated with the latest technologies.
  • Technologies used on the team include Go, Python, Thrift, Baseplate, Kafka, Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Argo, and Docker.
  • The role plays a crucial part in helping advertisers succeed on Reddit while respecting user privacy, contributing to the growth and success of the Ads business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field.
  • 2+ years of full-time backend software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment.
  • Experience in backend development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions prioritizing user privacy and security.
  • Nice to have: prior experience in ads or signals space, familiarity with agile development methodologies, and a passion for mentorship.
