Description:

Madhive is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their cross-functional Agile development teams.
The role involves collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, high-quality software.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems, writing clean and maintainable code, debugging production issues, and contributing to API and service development.
The engineer will participate in architectural decisions, improve system observability and performance, and take ownership of features or systems.
Engagement with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives is also required.
The position is fully remote and is classified as full-time employment.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development, demonstrating a track record of delivering high-quality software.
Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language such as Go, C#, Java, Kotlin, or Rust is necessary.
Knowledge of software design patterns and API development (REST, gRPC) is required.
Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and distributed systems is essential.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills are a must.
The ability to write and review technical documentation is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a collaborative, Agile environment and possess excellent communication skills to discuss technical concepts with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Golang, familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and knowledge of AdTech or similar domains are considered nice to have but not required.

The approximate compensation range for this position is $140,000-$180,000, with the actual offer determined by various factors including experience and skills.
