Description:
The Business Experience team at Reddit aims to empower brands, organizations, and professionals to create engaging content for communities while expanding their presence on Reddit.
This role involves working on technical and product strategy for a new product with a significant revenue opportunity.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to develop innovative products and features that users will enjoy.
You will be involved in the full development cycle, from technical design to launch, including code reviews, feedback on product specs, and mocks.
Working with a team of motivated engineers, you will contribute to improving developer workflows, recommending best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
Continuous learning and improvement of technical and non-technical skills are encouraged.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional software development experience in general-purpose programming languages like Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.
Proficiency in GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics, and the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
Demonstrated experience in developing highly scalable and reliable serving systems.
Strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and a track record of delivering projects on schedule.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and innovative approach in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
