Description:

  • The Business Experience team at Reddit aims to empower brands, organizations, and professionals to create engaging content for communities while expanding their presence on Reddit.
  • This role involves working on technical and product strategy for a new product with a significant revenue opportunity.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to develop innovative products and features that users will enjoy.
  • You will be involved in the full development cycle, from technical design to launch, including code reviews, feedback on product specs, and mocks.
  • Working with a team of motivated engineers, you will contribute to improving developer workflows, recommending best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Continuous learning and improvement of technical and non-technical skills are encouraged.

Requirements:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional software development experience in general-purpose programming languages like Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.
  • Proficiency in GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics, and the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing highly scalable and reliable serving systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and a track record of delivering projects on schedule.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and innovative approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
