Remote Backend Engineer, Business Experience

Requirements:

• A BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on, professional software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and Thrift basics is necessary, along with the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
• A proven track record of developing and improving highly scalable and reliable serving systems is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to deliver projects on schedule are required.
• An entrepreneurial spirit is important; candidates should be self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively partner with teams in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.
